Wolf Lake Middle School ROCKED their first ever Make A Difference Day Bear Drive. In one short week they collected 230 brand new stuffed animals - I'm so proud of my new school.
Tomorrow is Make A Difference Day and we'll be tagging and bagging all of these stuffed animals. On Monday, we'll present them to the local first responders.

We Care Bears is making some big changes.....HUGE.....
We've moved. My Dad took a job in Florida so right after the Share Your Care event in Orange County, California my Mom and I hit the road for our new home in Orange Country, FLORIDA.
Nothing is changing with my project at all. I will continue to work hard to make sure that no child is scared or injured without a stuffed animal to huggle. I still maintian the goal of ensuring that every first response vehicle across the country, and organization that deals with kids in hard places, have a supply of We Care Bears tor the kids they serve.
If you are in California, I will continue to ship bears to you when you request them, just let me know and I'll have a box on the way...you just won't see my bright smiley face so often.

Today is National Share Your Care Day.
It was my pleasure to partner with Care Bears as their Caring Ambassador for 2016. At their core, Care Bears have heart and are all about love, caring and sharing with others. Care Bears also support charities around the world that help families in need, including We Care Bears. With the help of Care Bears and in honor of Share Your Care Day today I was able to donate 500 Care Bears to Orange County Fire Department for their Sparks of Love campaign. You can read more about it HERE.
Working with everyone at American Greetings Enterainment has been amazing. They are so kind and I am blessed that they saw the good in my work...and didn't sue me for having a name so close to theirs.
How did you Share Your Care today?

Wow do I have a lot to share with you.
A few weeks ago I got an e-mail from American Greetings Entertainment. American Greetings Entertainment owns Care Bears. My Mom wasn’t sure I should name my project We Care Bears because of the Care Bears but we are careful to never show a Care Bear in a We Care Bears bag and we never take a picture with anyone holding a Care Bear, but still…you never how a big company will handle such a similar name.
But this e-mail was different. They heard about We Care Bears from their legal department and instead of forcing me to change my name or suing me they said they loved my project, it aligned with their company’s core values and asked me to be a #ShareYourCare Ambassador.
Did you know that September 9th is National Share Your Care Day? The goal is to do something, big or small, on that day to show someone you care. I tell that to kids in all my speeches….even something as small as holding the door open for someone can make their day.
So last week I flew to New York and met the great people at American Greetings Entertain and even got the chance to speak at their event at the #BloggerBash.
I love New York City so over the next few days I’m going to share some of the fun things I got to do on this trip.
Thank you again to everyone for trusting me to be an Ambassador for such a great cause, inviting me to New York City, and most of all, for not suing me!!

When I found out we were going to be driving to Orange I asked my Mom if she would call the Orange Police Department to see if we could bring bears to them while we are were in town. The really nice Lieutenant my mom talked to said they would to have some and that they had about 30 vehicles.
I was so excited to be able to add a stop to our trip today to bring 30 bags of We Care Bears to the Orange Police Department. Today I got to meet to Lieutenant Monjaraz and deliver 300 stuffed animals. Thank you to everyone at the Orange PD for being so nice to me today. I wish the picture was better, but my Mom did her best with her cell phone.

Last week Ms. Megan from HealthBridge wrote to me, and today I was so pleased to be able to take 30 large stuffed animals to the kids at HealthBridge.
HealthBridge Children’s Hospital is designed, staffed, and equipped to care for medically complex patients, yet dedicated to assisting children and their families through challenging times within a warm and nurturing environment. It looks and feels like a big house and everyone seems like family. With only about 30 patients, it’s a really special hospital.

Chaparral Elementary School you guys are AMAZING.
Thank you so much to Ms. Macari for organizing this bear drive. When we picked up the bears from Chaparral I learned that Ms. Macari’s son actually got a We Care Bear when he got sick and had to go in the ambulance. I’m sad he had to go in the ambulance, that’s always scary, but so happy that the ambulance had a supply of We Care Bears on board to help him be less scared. Now the stuffed animals you donated will be used to help kids just like your classmate. It’s a chain of love!!

Girl Scout Troop 4471
Tonight I got the chance to meet a GREAT Girl Scout Troop. Troop 4471 went to Build a Bear and each made a very special bear to donate to We Care Bears. How sweet is that?!! It was really sweet, as were each of the girls that I had a chance to meet. Thank you all or taking a few minutes before your outing to visit with me and donate your lovely bears. I know that they are going to be dearly loved by the children who receive them.

I LOVE it when people contact me for bear donations. I always have a supply, tagged, bagged, and ready to ship. BUT I keep a special supply for Chadwicks Center. Everytime I sort bears I set aside beanie sized bears for Chadwicks and today I was so happy to be able to take 150 beanies for the kids they serve.
You can learn about Chadwicks Center here: http://www.wecarebears.com/apps/blog/show/42438580-special-delivery
My first delivery here was 2 years ago, making them one of my long term partners. Thank you.

So, I won this radio contest and got tickets to an amazing concert....my first concert EVER...plus a "Meet and Greet" with Iggy Azalea. I was very excited to meet her and tell about We Care Bears, so I bought a special teddy bear for her, attached one of my cards and thought when I met her I would just hand it to her, give her my "elevator story" and be done. Well, as it turns out, I wasn't allowed to give her the bear, or even talk to her at all, but we got a very nice picture.
